WHY DONATE?
About 38% of the population is eligible to donate blood; only about 3% of the population donates. Blood shortages are common and have been more severe due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no substitute for blood and donating saves lives! Please join us in helping our local community by donating this month at Saddleback Medical Center.
Charlie Christen, Lauren Swan, Luke Larkin, and Sammy Trumbly are students at Capistrano Valley High School. They are hoping to rally students, their families and our South Orange County community to donate blood for friends, family members, neighbors and community members at Saddleback Medical Center. Inspired by hearing about the extreme blood shortages and reading about the tremendous need for donated blood, these students chose to help the community in this very important way. Jacob Swan and Charlie Christen started the blood drive in May 2022.

PLUS: Students can receive service hours for making a donation or referring someone to make a donation
